An amazing infrashine ceramic flat iron. Infrashine flat irons are my favorite out of all the brands. I also have the FHI (which is also good), but I like how the infrashine leaves my hair just a little better. Somehow it leaves it smoother. I've had the 1 inch one for about 3 years, and keep getting great results. I decided to buy the 1/2 inch because I have shorter hair now, and I got the same great results (if not better because I think they've improved some features). I have fine hair and I had tried cheaper ceramic irons which broke my hair off. My stylist used this tool, and I ordered one online since it was much cheaper than buying it from the salon. I have used it for about a month and my hair is not breaking. The ceramic iron glides over my hair, leaving it smooth and shiny. Infrashine flat irons are also great for using during the japanese hair straightening (therman reconditioning) process. Great product.

I have used many different wet to dry flat irons from Hot Tools to CHI. None of them lasted over a year- they just stopped heating up. I purchased this Infrashine flat iron about 5 years ago and its still going strong! My mom had the same one and hers just started going out- It still heats up, but it loses a lot of heat during use and therefore must keep reheating to the appropriate temp. A friend of mine just purchased a brand new Infrashine and the only difference I can tell between her new one and my old one is that mine has lost some of its surface smoothness. I have used a lot of the inexpensive flat irons you can get from regular stores, and the last flat iron I had was a chi, but Infrashine beats them all. It heats up in 5 seconds and the part you hold never even gets too warm so that you can't hold it (unlike the ones you buy at a regular store). I had my chi for a little while and loved it, but it didn't hold up too well and in the end it broke and I don't think I'm gonna go that route again. My friends who use it say its a million times better than their brand new cheap flat irons. I have very coarse, curly hair and I live in humid Seattle. I just got my hair cut a few weeks ago and my stylist used this product on my hair.
